New Member Classes

New membership classes are held as needed. We generally have two classes of two hours each. We review and discuss three topics: History of the Christian Church with a focus on the Reformation forward to present time; Basic Theology of the Christian faith and what do Presbyterians more specifically believe; Lastly how is the Local Ministry here at Hope Presbyterian Church and the National Church set up?

We point out that attending the class does not obligate a person to join but it does provide someone with information to make an informed decision.

If a person asks to join then a third meeting with the Congregational Life Commission or the Session itself is scheduled. This consists of a light cover dish meal and at that time we will ask everyone attending to share how they came to be part of our congregation. After this we will schedule a Sunday morning worship service for a public recognition of your joining.
